Artisan Award Project # 5 Totally Tess Card.

Hop Project #5 "Totally Tess" Card

So I wanted to make something kinda simple.
When I looked at this set
(at the time I was sitting down to create it)
I thought of chic/simple/modern...and kinda went with that.
I did use kinda a"retro color scheme"
I don't know... I guess to give a different look and feel to each card I entered.

She's such a cutie!
I did notice when I was cutting out her hand bag-there is a line through the
top of the handle so you can cut through that to get INTO the inside to cut easily!
"Stampin'Up!-you "lis-nin"?? I love ya-;)

And I've had so much fun too with all of you!
Reading the comments and seeing new people on my follow list and blog!
I appreciate it all-it makes me smile...
I'm excited to check out your creations too-and make new Stampin friends!

This has been so much fun this week!
Next week we will be posting our Scrapbook Pages and 3D items...

Hope you all have a great weekend;)
I sure am looking forward to mine!!

Artisan Award Project #4 Frindship Easel Card

Hop Project # 4

CHECK BELOW THIS POST
FOR BLOG CANDY details!!!!

This card I think was displayed at Convention without it's bottom half! :/
So here it is.

I was super happy with the bright and cheery color scheme!
After all...Isn't that what a great friend makes you feel?
I know...(cheesy)...but TRUE! !! awww...

I did a rock and roll technique after I stamped the flowers in So Saffron.
I then rolled the edges in Yo Yo Yellow around the ink pad too, to
get a 2 tone effect-and then in Coc.Chip (to get an aged feel and some dimension).

The Rose Red paper accent was stamped with the Very Vintage Wheel
Cool eh? With our awesome Shimmer Paint! :)
And for the accent on the side I covered with Crystal Effects with the Simmer Paint (IN) it!
Gives a plastic sparkly look-kinda fun!!

Artisan Award Project #3 Baby Card

HOP PROJECT #3

CHECK BELOW THIS POST
FOR BLOG CANDY details!!!!

So for this card I was in inspired by the amazing tallented
Shelley Bohan.

She made a card a while back that looked like little quilt blocks
and I loved that idea!

I used SU texture plates to get the quilted look and
then went down those lines with some stiches!!
Although I do have to admitt-
Sewing on paper is not forgiving!!
but somehow it worked out.

When doing it I did cross my fingers! ;)
(In my head of course)

wheww!!

Kinda fun!

Artisan Award Project #2 Graveyard Gala Card

HOP PROJECT #2

CHECK BELOW THIS POST FOR
BLOG CANDY details!!!!

Well my entries would not be complete ( from me ) without a little ( Halloween )!
I wanted to try to make a Haunted House using mostly punches and texture.
This is what I came up with!

It was FUN to make-But I had to have at least a bow or something
C-U-T-E on it so it didn't look TOO dark and dreary!! :)
Hope you like!
Thanks for looking!!

Deadline Day!

Wheww...
Getting my projects done was a large tackle!
On a last minute decision to do it-and with a pretty new baby?
Good thing for naps and good husbands!!!
Those spare seconds flew and as I wrapped up all my entries and literally
kissed those babies good bye-I had only one hour before Stampin'Up closed.
(On deadline day.):/
I knew I still had to (atleast) get pics. Since we agree to not get our projects
back!
So I was racing around my house falling over stuff grabbing things so fast,
running outside throwing my projects on random benches etc... trying to get
a "couple" decent pics of each thing!
Oh-and of corse the wind was blowing at tornado speeds and my projects
were blowing all over the darn place!
I managed...and raced in my car with
my 2 big boxes and handed them in to the front desk and looked at the time
and it was 10 minutes to five o clock!
Wheww... When I got back in my car I think I fainted from fatigue or fell asleep!
One or the other.
...No...
I called my husband and said "I'm back...Let's Celebrate!"

Winner or not...
What a challanging accomplishment...it felt good.

A night to Remember...

Here is a picture of our table at Cucina Toscana.

Each place setting had this gorgeous MENU that coordinated with the
Invitations we recieved for this event prior and the little gift box sitting above
each place setting.
Each box had one of our names on it.
And a special gift inside.

This dinner is one I will never forget. It is so special to me. I felt so honored. Shelly and Brent made such a point
to make us feel so special and to accept the honor it truly is to be one of Stampin'Ups Artisans.
They said first thing when we all sat down (and were probably all a little nervous being in the high standard of company
we were with)...And they just broke the ice and said, "We just want to get to know you all better." And from there it was
a pleasure. Wow to eat a fantastic dinner and Chat with the Cofounder and CEO of Stampin'Up! Shelli, and her sweet husband. And also
the guy over all Stampin'Up's Art dep and catalog production the main dude to be slang!!! And his beautiful wife Angela was to good to
be true!! It felt amazing. We also got to meet 2 concept Artist and chat with them on the process of the Catalogs and all the fun
stuff they make to go in them!
Wow what a treat.

It was also such a treat to meet my fellow Artisans!!!
To think that we all share the same passions for creating and love for what we do.

And these people are amazing. All so nice...I was SO excited to meet everyone.

Here are some very dear to my heart gifts I recieved:

A Sterling Silver bracelet with a Heart Pennant. On the back has the words engraved:
Stampin'Up! Artisan 2010

A personal message and letter signed by Shelli herself.
( The message and words mean a lot to me!!)

And a one of a kind Stamp designed just for us!!! By Brent himself!
With our names on it.
Wow. It is truly beautiful. I will always treasure it.
and use it too! hehe
it says;
Handcrafted by
Angela Timms
Stampin'Up Artisan 2010.

In the slang words my family likes to use...;) he he
" They don't mess around!"
